Exemption is limited to wartime veterans
Property MUST be primary residence of owner

Persian Gulf War | 08-02-90 to 12/31/02 | Southwest Asia Service Medal |
Operation Iraqi Freedom | 1-1-03 to present | Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal |
Cold War qualifying period 09/02/45 thru 12/26/91
Entitled up to a maximum exemption of $4,000 for Cold War and $20,000 for Cold War Disability
Applicable for County Taxes only
No limit on Disability, ½ Rating
Veterans who received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal are eligible for a 25% exemption.
Merchant Marine Qualifications – 12-7-41 thru 8-15-45
Proof required: Atlantic, Pacific or Mediterranean War Zone or Foreign Voyage Card
Amount of Exemption Allowed:
- Wartime Veteran – 15%
- Combat Zone – Additional 10%
- Service Connected Disability – Half of VA Rating
The Following Must Be Submitted When Applying:
- Discharge Papers (DD214) or Separation from Active Duty
- Proof of Combat Duty
- Proof of Primary Residence
- Proof of Disability Rating – current dated letter of rating.
